Building Futures is for anyone who has an interest in supporting individuals with disabilities as they transition from school to adult life. This includes Secondary Educators, Post Secondary Educators, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Special Educators, Therapists, Counselors, Service Providers, Job Developers, and other Rehabilitation Specialist, and especially Secondary Students with Disabilities and their Families.

Students $25.00 – Parents $150.00 – Professionals $175.00

Special Needs Apps for Kids (SNApps4Kids) is a community of parents, therapists, doctors and teachers who share information on using the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices with children who have special needs. The website, http://www.snapps4kids.com/ , offers reviews of more than 30,000 apps for use in special education.

22nd Annual Parent Conference

The primary purpose of this conference is to bring together parents, educators, and health professionals in an atmosphere of cooperation and exploration. The conference program will address issues that intend to expand the capacity of schools and communities, working in partnership with parents and professionals. To promote the partnership of nurturing and advocating for children, youth and young adults with disabilities,
with a positive focus on their abilities.

The conference seeks to model and facilitate effective relationships between families and service providers. RISE promotes an atmosphere for parents and other professionals with similar interests to interact, and to develop partnerships.
This conference acts as a time of much needed respite, networking and learning for many of our attendees, we ask that no children attend the conference.
